Zero Waste Alliance Ukraine is an association of Ukrainian organisations and activists working to solve the waste problem in Ukraine. The main goal of the Alliance is to influence the reform of the waste and resource management system in Ukraine.

We strive to shift the focus from the discourse of ‘how to recycle waste’ to the discourse of ‘how to prevent waste generation’. This means looking for ways to reuse and promote composting first. Only then should we recycle all resource-intensive materials. ZWAU works to make wasting resources a thing of the past.
