About Zero Waste Cities Forum
We invite you to the Zero Waste Cities Forum
The forum aims to help municipalities gain practical knowledge and learn more about successful case studies in Ukraine and EU countries that help reduce waste and costs, as well as decrease the load on local municipal services.
Who is this Forum for?
- representatives of municipalities responsible for waste management;
- representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), initiatives, and educators working in the field of waste management.
During the two days of the Forum, you will learn more about:
- How to reduce waste generation in the municipality;
- How to organize separate collection and what limitations exist for recycling;
- What safe solutions exist to deal with mixed waste;
- What successful and safe examples and initiatives exist in Ukraine and abroad.
Additional Information:
- When: July 23-24, 2026;
- Where: Lviv;
- Conditions: Participation in the event is free of charge; furthermore, the organizers provide accommodation and meals. Registration is required to participate in the event.

This event is part of the BEZWA2 project (Building the European Zero Waste Academy 2) – an Erasmus+ funded collaboration between four organisations with the main aim to create a strong educational framework in support of the zero waste cities movement in Europe. The project partners are Mission Zero Academy, Ekologi brez meja, Zero Waste Alliance Ukraine and Zero Waste Estonia as the project coordinator.
