The Mariupol initiative group has been actively working on environmental education and promoting the culture of separate waste collection in their hometown. In early 2022, Mariupol Zero Waste became a member of the Zero Waste Alliance Ukraine. Due to the full-scale Russian invasion, they were forced to leave Mariupol and adapt their activities to the new realities. So now they are actively studying the experience of other countries, working on a project for the post-war reconstruction of Mariupol, and conducting educational work in other cities of Ukraine.
